Practicing The Consciousness of God’s Presence

So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim (Joel 3:17-18). The benefits of practicing the consciousness of God’s presence revealed in this scripture include: (1) there shall no strangers pass through her anymore– This means that you will no longer experience sickness, stagnancy, poverty, untimely death, etc. (2) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk- this means that you will be taken from frustration to celebration. (3) and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim– this means that you shall have overflowing provision that will make you a provider and a blessing to others.  It is possible to celebrate in the midst of frustration. When there is a casting down, those that are in tune with God will experience a lifting because the Most High God is always high up: He does not have any business with being cast down. When you know that the Lord God dwells in Zion, then every mountain on your path will begin to drop down new wine. Dwell constantly in the consciousness of the God who is able to give you the oil of gladness above your fellows

Deuteronomy 8:18

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Meditating On The Personality of God

The only way anyone can please God is by daily filling his/her heart with the knowledge of God. God desires this more than our offerings. (Hosea 6:6- For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings).

Meditate on this revelation and worship God with it

  • The God that giveth me power to get wealth: One attribute of God is that He is the God of all sufficiency- the wealthy one. 2Corinthians 8:9 makes this point somewhat graphic when in showing the extents of God’s Love for mankind, Christ emptied Himself of all of God’s riches so we can have all that is His: ‘For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.’ Scripture is full with pictures of God’s heart in prospering His people, and one of such is Psalm 105:37 which reads ‘He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.’ Our God is not opposed to our being wealthy. In our opening text, we are brought to the reality of this truth that He actually gives us the power to get wealth. We have to get the wealth but He supplies the much needed ability, wisdom or power to get it.

God blessed Abraham, Jacob, Solomon and Peter. As Abram (for so was Abraham called before the LORD changed his name) obeyed the LORD and moved into the place he was to receive for an inheritance, the first assurance God gave Him was that of blessings; wealth that was not limited to just gold and silver, but an all-encompassing blessing. ‘And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;  and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:  and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.’(Genesis12:2-3) The resultant effect of this blessing in Abram’s life is that through a series of events (all things working together for his good-Romans 8:28) under the guidance of God, he was enriched as he obeyed. ‘And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.’(Genesis 13:1-2, Genesis 24:1). The hallmark of obedience to God is often characterized by a rich supply of God’s goodness. Hardly would anyone in God’s line of duty be left without a statement of God’s power to get wealth at some point or the other.

We can clearly see how He made Jacob wealthy in Laban’s home (Genesis 30:25-43). From this text, we are made to understand the result of the wisdom employed by Jacob and how God prospered him by making him wealthier than Laban. “And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses” (vs. 43). He can do the same for us who are the children of Abraham by faith (Galatians 3:9).

We can also discover how He blessed King Solomon by granting him a wise and understanding heart. He became the richest and wisest king in the world, and we can find this account in 1Kings 3:11-12:“And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life;  neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words:  lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

A New Testament example that makes this subject even clearer is found in the gospel according to Luke. In the fifth chapter, we see Peter responding to the word of Jesus after all human wisdom had failed him. This act of obedience empowered him for the biggest experience in his business endeavors. One word from the Spirit of God can deliver from poverty and anguish. Luke 5:5-6 tells the story: “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:  nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes:  and their net brake.” True wealth is a function of the ability that God alone gives- He gives us power to get wealth that does not add sorrows with it.

Knowing that He is our God as He was the God of Abraham, Jacob, Solomon and Peter, don’t you believe He can also lead you into stress less wealth? These truths are no fallacy; if He did for Abraham, Jacob and Solomon, He will do for you too because you operate in a better covenant with Him; a covenant established by the blood of His dear son Jesus.

Prophetic Warfare Prayer

Theme: Divine Protection

Psalms 91:3- Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

The Lord has promised us deliverance from the evil traps of the devil and his agents. When there is evil knocking on the doors of unbelievers around us, our homes will be protected from infiltration of darkness. There are three levels of prophetic warfare prayers: first is thanksgiving, second is aggressive warfare prayers aimed at enforcing compliance and third is prophesying your expectations based on the assurances given in the scriptures.

See the prophetic warfare prayers of October 2 for comprehensive prayer.

  1. What is today’s BIBLE TEXT?
  2. What have you discovered about GOD today?

Meditate on these points throughout today to gain light for your profiting (…that thy profiting may appear unto all, 1Timothy 4:15).

My mother had uncontrolled urination for some time. It was so bad that when she sits down, she will not know when the urine comes out of her. We began to use pampers for her before she could sit among people. It was so bad that she urinated up to eight times every night. A Pastor friend, Pastor Cletus, brought us to Benin to see Pastor Osaghae. This was during the Holy Ghost week. Pastor prayed for her that day and we received our miracle. Since then, her urination has reduced drastically. She is very conscious now when she wants to urinate. She now urinates only two to three times every night. We are forever grateful to the Almighty God who has performed this great healing.
