SEPTEMBER 14 (SATURDAY) BE A FAITHFUL WITNESS

SEPTEMBER 14 (SATURDAY)
BE A FAITHFUL WITNESS

Practicing The Consciousness of God’s Presence
And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. 1Kings 9:4-5. God commanded Solomon to walk before Him. This means practicing the consciousness of God’s ever abiding presence. Walking before God helps you to keep His statutes and judgments. It brings establishment of all the good things God has bestowed upon your life. It extends the blessings of God upon your life to your children and everyone that is associated with you.

Knowing The Defeat of The Devil
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Ephesians 1:21-22. All things, including the devil and his kingdom, have been placed under the feet of Jesus. Since we reign in majesty with Christ Jesus, the devil is also under our feet. As long as you submit to the headship of Christ over your life, the enemy has no power to harm you. He is defeated.

SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION
Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

What did you discover of the Personality of God from studying the above scripture on Thursday?
What did you discover of the Personality of the believer from studying the above scripture yesterday?
Today, we continue the study of the same scripture to discover our Responsibility as believers.

Meditating On The Responsibility of the Believer
Knowing and keeping to God’s expectations of us is the criteria for seeing God. If you keep breaking God’s instruction, you will not see Him (you will not experience His manifestation in your life and you will be condemned to hell). (Hebrews 12:14- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord).
Ask God for grace to carry out this responsibility
Be a faithful witness of the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus: God expects us to witness to all He has done for us and still does for mankind in the name of Jesus Christ. Our responsibility is to be faithful witnesses of His word. ‘And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul:  for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome’ (Acts 23:11). Let us learn something from the attitude of Paul even in the face of rejection and all manner of tests and trials; listen to what was paramount in his heart as a faithful witness: ‘…none of these things (that is, his tests and trials) move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God ’ (Acts 20:24). Let us remember, the Master has instructed us to witness to all He did for us. ‘But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth’ (Acts1:8). If you refuse to witness to the lost and they die in their sin, God will demand their soul from your hands. The prosperity and miracles you ask God for will be held back if the souls of those you were supposed to bring to Christ cry to the Lord from the fire of hell.
Love the Lord because He first loved you: The first proof of Love is giving. The highest proof of Love is unconditional sacrificial love for God and man. ‘Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets’ (Matthew 22:35-38). Your love for God must be such that you are willing to sacrifice all you have and every one of your ambition for the sake of His agenda. If God gives an instruction, you must be willing to obey without questioning. If God sees that your love for Him is to this extent, He will not withhold any good thing from you. Realize today that you cannot deceive the omniscient God; He sees even the deepest secrets of your heart. Those that love God conditionally will not get the best of Him. Having given you His best, He also expects you to submit your totality to Him in love. Your service to Him must be out of love; not for gain. Only then will you enjoy the best of the Lord.

Our Fellowship With The Holy Spirit
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: …For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:34-37). The Holy Spirit is the God that turns impossibilities to possibilities. Those that fellowship consistently with the Holy Spirit will always be a wonder to others because their life is constantly filled with testimonies; they get, with ease, those things that others struggle to get.
This function of the Holy Spirit is activated primarily by speaking in tongues (Pray in tongues with your mind focused on who God is, what He has done and what He can do).
Other ways you can activate the Holy Ghost to function are by sincere worship and by living a righteous life.

Fear Not
Revelation 1:17; And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
[Fear is a very strong belief in the occurrence of an evil that might never happen. It is precipitated on meditation on the wrong things].

Intercession
When you are involved in intercession, your prosperity will surely break forth as the morning light. See Isaiah 58:6, 8 – Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? …Then shall thy light break forth as the morning. Do you seek prosperity that cannot be hindered? Then get involved in intercession.
Daily talk to God about people for their spiritual and physical needs to be met. We are also to intercede daily for peace in the land, for our political and spiritual leaders and for the salvation of sinners. (Ezekiel 22:30).

Evangelism/Soul Winning
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth, Acts 1:8. The Holy Ghost empowers us for witnessing. If you have the Holy Ghost and you are not witnessing, then you are under-utilizing His power that works in you. Always talk to people about the love of God expressed by the sacrifice of His dear son, Jesus.

Promise To The Righteous
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted. Job 36:7
There are three benefits that will come to the righteous man as revealed in today’s scripture. First is that God will not withdraw His eyes from him. The implication of this is that the righteous man will always be under the surveillance of God. If you are under God’s surveillance, then of course you should know that no evil can befall you. Also, the righteous will be established forever. This means that whatever blessing the Lord brings upon him cannot be corrupted or snatched by the devil. Finally, we are told that the Lord will exalt him.
Do you want to enjoy these three benefits revealed in today’s scripture? Then you must make up your mind to practice righteousness, for it is that man that doeth righteousness that is righteous, even as Christ is righteous, 1John 3:7.

Prophetic Warfare Prayer
Theme: Manifestation of your supernaturality
John 14:12- Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Once you believe in Jesus, you receive power to operate just like Him. You can even do greater works than He did if you believe. There are three levels of prophetic warfare prayers: first is thanksgiving, second is aggressive warfare prayers aimed at enforcing compliance and third is prophesying your expectations based on the assurances given in the scriptures.

See the prophetic warfare prayers of September 11 for comprehensive prayer.
